Product Description
Firecracker Japanese Maple is a colorful laceleaf cultivar known for its finely dissected foliage and distinctive cascading form. New growth emerges a brilliant ruby red in spring before deepening to burgundy and maroon. Its branches grow upward and outward before cascading down, creating the dramatic shape that gives 'Firecracker' its name.
During the heat of summer, the foliage may develop green-red tones, particularly in Southern climates, before finishing the season with brilliant scarlet-red fall color. Unlike many laceleaf Japanese maples, 'Firecracker' is relatively vigorous, making it a great choice for anyone wanting the delicate texture of a dissectum with faster growth.
