Product Description
Purple Ghost Japanese Maple is a highly sought-after reticulated cultivar known for its dramatic purple foliage and contrasting dark veins. New leaves emerge in rich shades of lavender and purple, divided by deep maroon reticulation that gives the foliage its distinctive “ghost” appearance. Its dense branching and upright, slightly pendulous habit create a beautiful form as the tree matures.
'Purple Ghost' provides exceptional color and texture in the landscape and is especially prized by Japanese maple collectors. Filtered light or protection from intense afternoon sun helps bring out its best coloration, making it an excellent specimen for a protected garden location where its detailed foliage can be appreciated up close.
