Product Description
Shidava Gold Japanese Maple is a compact, upright cultivar prized for its luminous foliage and striking bright green stems. New leaves emerge brilliant yellow to yellow-green in spring before maturing to fresh green through the summer. Its smaller leaves and vivid pea-green bark create year-round interest and give this dwarf maple a bright, cheerful appearance in the landscape.
Originally discovered as a witch’s-broom mutation on 'Aoyagi', 'Shidava Gold' maintains a compact form that works beautifully in smaller gardens, containers, patios, and Japanese-inspired landscapes. In autumn, the foliage turns a clear, brilliant yellow that pairs beautifully with its distinctive green stems.
